Prof. Baumann´s research focuses on translational radioncology, radiobiology and individualized radiation therapy. He has authored more than 350 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Radiotherapy & Oncology.
A member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, he has served as President of ESTRO, ECCO and DEGRO, and has received numerous distinguished awards, including the German Cancer Prize and two honorary doctorates.
